Swarovski - Celebrity Choice
Do you know that Swarovski is also a top choice for celebrity ?
For the third consecutive year, Swarovski had a commanding presence at the Toronto film festival.
Like at the Oscars and the Cannes Film Festival, Swarovski had a suite displaying a selection of bags and jewellery.
In Sex and The City, the crystal Kiosk bag and Nirvana ring featured in the movie are from Swarovski.

Sparkling décor highlights include:
AT RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL:
• More than 10,000 crystals for the pink carpet
AT THE AFTER PARTY:
• A Blossom chandelier comprised of over a thousand pink and green crystals
• Over 500 crystal heart ornaments that will adorn the trees in the garden at MOMA
• A crystal encrusted sofa by Edra, covered in over 1,000 crystals and worth more than $100,000
• A crystal curtain with 160 stands of crystal and a total of 7,240 crystals. The curtain is roughly 12 ft high and 8 ft wide
• More than 30 crystal lanterns used to adorn the tables
• Sex and The City logos made entirely of Swarovski crystals will adorn the serving trays
• Fuchsia Swarovski crystals will adorn the DJ booth
Swarovski will also sparkle on the big screen at the premiere. Three signature Swarovski creations are featured in the film including the Nirvana ring, the Kiosque bag and the Era bag. CRYSTALLIZED™ – Swarovski Elements are also featured on Carrie’s cell phone, wedding veil and wedding parasol.

Charity project 2006 - Precious Home
In 2006, Passions Craft undertook a year end project in committing all sales for Christmas to be contributed to Precious Home.
After the press coverage appeared in The STAR on 9 December 2006. Many people called and enquired to make purchase of my items.
Over RM2,000 was collected and minor repair works such as painting, re-building the fences, etc for Precious Home was able to carried out. A Christmas party was also organised for the children of the home. The balance of the money was used to finance schooling cost such as purchase of exercise books, school uniform, spectacles, shoes etc. We did not anticipate that we need quite a substantial amount just for these items and one of my friend was so kind and helpful to contribute remaining of the money required. I was so touched by her volunteering to send the children to have their spectacles made, measuring the sizes to purchase school uniforms and other chores.

What is so special about Swarovski crystals ?
It is well known that Swarovski Crystal is one of the finest crystals produced in the world today and is noted for its purity, brilliance and reflective qualities. It is a synthetic crystal produced in Austria using a formula perfected by Daniel Swarovski and his sons at the end of the 19th century. What sets Swarovski crystals apart from other imitations is the superior quality of the cutting and polishing used in the finished product that are unmatchable in other crystals.

How PASSIONS was started
Finally, it's here.....I hope I am able to use this space to show case items that i've made to all my friends who constantly ask....where can I view your items ? when will your website be ready ?Let's see how far this one goes.
A little history about Passions Craft. I've been exploring and trying my hands on different crafts since i was 8 years old. Am fanatic of cross stitch, embroidery, beading, quilting, stumpwork, and lots of other things. 3 years ago, i started to create accessories with encouragement from few friends. I started off from scratch and i can still re-call that i went all around town to look for little 'parts' that i can put together. In just few hours, my purchase of a small bag came up to close to RM1000 and that's a lot of investment for me not even knowing where to start ! I am clueless. That night back in 2006, i started to make my 1st pair of earring and bracelet. I got excited with my creation and showed the item that I made to my friend. Was pleasantly surprised that she asked me to make 30 pieces for her to sell ! This indeed is a good start for me. Still not satisfied to know if my designs are good, i continue to make few more pairs of earrings and showed to my friends. They bought all the stuff that I made !
It took a while me a while to realise that people are really buying my stuff.....but there are so much to be done. Think of designs to make, packaging, pricing.....all these requires time and effort.
Before I continue further, i praise and thank GOD for giving me the wonderful skills out of the blue. Jewellery making is something that I never thought that i can do. It's still a wonder to me after creating different items and pieces for the past 2 years.
